As a licensed professional counselor and a Nationally Board Certified Counselor with over 10 years of experience, Samantha brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice. 

With a deep understanding of the importance of creating safety in sessions, Samantha believes in the power of connection and stillness. 
Drawing from her personal journey, Samantha has a special interest in supporting individuals who have experienced religious trauma, relational trauma, medically related mental health symptoms, and complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD). Having navigated her own path of healing through these challenges, she brings a heartfelt understanding and empathy to her work. Samantha is passionate about empowering her clients to confront and challenge beliefs that no longer serve them, fostering personal growth and resilience.

Inspired by the words of Audre Lorde, Samantha believes in the transformative power of self-acceptance and self-integration and will encourage you to find balance between self-boundaries and developing skills to navigate the complexity of maintaining deep and meaningful relationships with others.

Our Approach

At RLG, we understand that every individual's story is unique, and therefore we tailor our approach to each person's specific needs based on client feedback and treatment planning sessions. Our team of experienced therapists utilizes evidence-based practices, including CBT-A, IFS, and art and creative therapies, to help clients identify and overcome negative thought patterns and cycles. We also incorporate personalized guided meditation into our sessions to help our clients achieve a greater sense of clarity. Our goal is to guide our clients towards long-lasting healing and growth.

We use the HIPAA secure platform DoxyMe for all sessions and Simple Practice EHR to ensure maximum security of your health information.

Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and varied life experiences and we are committed to ensuring a climate of purposeful inclusion of all individuals of all/any, race, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, or national origin. We only take on a certain number of clients at a time to ensure you are getting focused and quality treatment.

Do you accept insurance? We are in-network with the following insurance providers at this time: United Healthcare For others, we offer out-of-network reimbursement. The reaons for this are many but ultimately insurance companies can request records, deny or limit care and cause lapses in treatment. By choosing to work with an out-of-network provider, you and your therapist determine frequency and duration of treatment and who has access to your health records.

Where can I find information to check benefits with my insurance company? You can find a PDF of commonly requested information in the Client Portal.

What are the benefits of using out-of-network care? We are in-network with the following insurance providers at this time: United Healthcare UMR For others, we offer out-of-network reimbursement. When using your insurance benefits, insurance companies can request records, deny or limit care and cause lapses in treatment. By choosing to work with an out-of-network provider, you and your therapist determine frequency and duration of treatment and who has access to your health records. In addition there are no records of a 'diagnosis code'. We make every effort to protect your privacy when it comes to your records however if you are using your benefits, insurance companies are entitled to request records. If you file for life insurance, they may also request a copy of your medical records through insurance when deciding cost and level of coverage. This makes using out-of-network care the most secure way to receive the care you need.

What is the average cost of sessions? It can range from fully covered by your insurance benefits to a $25 copay to $135-$195 per session. You will be given a cost estimate upon completing intake paperwork after your benefits have been confirmed by the billing department.

What is the expected timeframe of treatment? A typical treatment course is 6 months to 1 year with follow-up check ins after that if requested. You can always request another treatment course even after discharge if it is determined by yourself and your therapist it would be therapeutically beneficial.
